Hey Nash,

I had a few questions. Would you be able to tell me what you ate on a daily basis, I'm curious because you said you eliminated carbs.

Also, when you went on that diet, did you lose a lot of muscle mass (basically, did you get smaller). Weight wise and muscle wise.

I feel like there's a really fine line between eliminating body fat while still keeping/building on your muscle mass because I feel like you need carbs to help build muscle. And I feel like if you do too much cardio and diet real hard you will not only lose body fat (which is good) but also muscle (which you want to keep). Lemme know what you think.

I've had the same experience with junk food, either with friends, family, or co-workers. I simply say, "nah, I don't like cake" or "I'm full." People def give me shit and yea it is annoying but honestly I don't care because I will think about how I'm going to feel afterwards. I actually don't like cake so it's not that tough. Ice cream may be a different story.

First of all, welcome to the site and congrats on the first post. I'm basically living this article right now.

For the last couple years of college I was workin out with nashzilla all the time and he's all about gettin huge. I was down with that because at the time I just wanted to get big and strong.

Eventually I hit all my strength goals, however, and I've recently been trying to shape my body a little better and get some more definition.

The problem now is finding the right weight/rep/split combo that gets me a little more defined without losing too much strength...because let's face it...as cut as I want to be, I'm not going to turn into a weak little bitch to get it done.

This is definitely an important topic for anyone and everyone to think about and you're a fool if you don't.

Comment on Lunge Variation by Jimbo

Nah, I don't think lunges are necessary and I completely understand your feelings about them being an exercise in patience, I feel the same way. That's actually one of the reasons I like this variation, it gives me something else to think about and makes the exercise seem more worthwhile.

There are, however, a few reasons I like the lunges in general....

1. Just to mix up my routines.
2. Sometimes I just don't want to kill myself with deadlifts etc.
3. I like that I can hold a lunge and just really feel my legs burn.
4. It really is a pretty good full body exercise, especially if you're holding weights of some form or another.

Thanks for the comment
