Final Workout
Posted By: JimMay 10th, 2008

To those loyal fans of yogymbo, I apologize for the lack of daily updating recently, but there has been an absolute sleu of events that have been eating up my time before graduation. For about the next five days I will be in the Bahamas and unable to post any new articles (poor me I know). I did feel it was necessary to comment on what was most likely the last workout that Nash and I will have at Bentley College. That’s not to say we won’t workout together in the future, but it probably won’t be at bentley.

As Nash said in his last post, we were doing our usual push/pull strategy, but we decided to change it up a little bit for our last workout. Every exercise we did, we started at a pretty high weight and just did as many reps as we could. Immediately after one of us finished, the other would do another set, so it was pretty intense and nonstop. After each set we would drop 10-20lbs and then lift until we couldn’t go anymore again.

I may have mentioned this before, but I kind of like feeling some pain the next day. If you are like me and you feel that recently your workouts just haven’t been intense enough then this is the way to go. It got to the point where doing 135lbs on bench was torture, and the next day my back especially was more sore than it had been in months. That’s all I got for now, but everyone out there should just give this type of workout a shot and I guarantee it’ll feel great the next day.

On a side note, one of our buddies and fellow seniors thought he could do the 300 workout no problem, so he tried it while Nash and I were in the gym with him. The next day he was telling me how much pain he was in and that it was a rediculous workout. I’m a huge fan of the 300 workout and think everyone should give it a shot just for shits and giggles, so definitely check out our article on it and see how it goes.

This is Jumbozo signing off for a few days, but never fear, I’ll be back before you know it.

P.S.

Be on the lookout for our yogymbo page dedicated specifically to supplements.
