Exercise of the day: Standing Triceps Extension

Today’s exercise of the day, is the last one in our series on Triceps, and is a great exercise to mix up your workout. I would suggest starting with a low weight at first, until you have the proper form before moving up.

Continue reading for instructions on how to perform this exercise:

  1. Pick up a dumbbell with both hands.
  2. Place it on your upper chest to steady it.
  3. Using both hands, reposition them on the weight so your pointer fingers and thumbs of each hand are touching to make a triangle under the top of the weight.
  4. Lift the weight above your head.
  5. Slowly lower it, behind your head, only bending the elbows.
  6. After your arms reach a 90 degree angle, raise the weight back above your head.
  7. Repeat
